Just another masquerade – Adventures in Smoke

Taking smoke photos is, trying to sum it up in one word: Discovery.

You are not sure what you are going to come up with, how it is going to turn out.  You are not sure if you are going to like it or not. You are in total obscurity, everything around you is pitch black (for better results).  Your camera is on manual focus and the only light you see is the flash each time it goes off.  Then you wonder: What will that look like?

Of course you can look at the LCD in the back of your camera, but I do so, maybe, after every 15 shots or so. Just to try and make sure the smoke is still in focus.  Although the results of what you see in that LCD can be deceiving; again, Discovery?

Sometimes when put together correctly is is like a mask you where at a party!  To hide, deceive or just to be secretive.  It's like an adventure where you dont know where you are going next or what is going to happen later.

You know, like living life!! Yes, exactly, like living life!
