Hello!
My name is Ricardo Williams, I am a computer systems engineer and technical translator, with more than 15 years experience in the IT area in diverse and fast paced environments. I work and live in Bloomington, IL and have been taking photographs for several years now. As good as it would be to say I come from the film age of photography I must admit I am a breed of the digital era. My first camera was a Sony DSC -S50, which introduced me to the world of digital. Later, in 2006, I bought my first semi professional camera, a Samsung Pro 815, that immediately provided me with another level of knowledge and love for capturing images. Since then I perfected my technique and in 2008 I upgraded to my first DSLR and started providing my first professional photography services. As an experienced photographer I can surely say that a Great Camera doesn’t make you a Great Photographer, but a good DSLR brings all your visions, ideas and imagination closer to reality and accomplishment.
I am comfortable with all kind and genre of photography. I have experience in street, event, HDR, portraiture and nature-landscape photography. I do have a preference and want to focus most of my skills to HDR, Street and Portraiture photography. I do include weddings in my portraiture category portfolio as the definition of portraiture is to capture by means of photography the likeness of a person or a small group of people (a group portrait), in which the face and expression is predominant. The objective is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the subject (wikipedia). This all summarizes the idea of capturing a wedding or event.
My portraiture includes (but is not limited to) Boudoir, Glamour, Model and Artistic Nudes, all approached in an experienced and professional manner. I feel that photography is an outlet of your imagination and your creativity and I find the female form as a beautiful form of expression. I have different styles and approach to go along with my shoots, and the most important thing is for both: models, clients and photographer to be all happy with the final product.
If you would like to find out more about my photography and how I accomplish certain results, feel free to contact me. I like sharing the experience and knowledge I have about my digital processing, working with photographers, networking and making new friends. If you are in the model, fashion, or makeup industry and would like to work with me at any time, please feel free to contact me and send me an email. I am always excited to find new contacts and working with new people.
